Currently for the first roadmap the standard bfme2 factions and Angmar from rotwk are planned. Isengard will get Ugluk as an additional hero :)

I think we dont need loads of factions, it will be verrry hard to balance, and also I assume many people dont want our beloved RTS game to turn into a visual sh*t show by this way.

Just stick to four factions for good and bad side. Seperating MotW to Rohan and Gondor, adding Angmar like RotW will be enough in terms of diversity. People who want more can do it by creating mods for the game once it is realesed.

Will there be any incorporation of the Northern Dunedain or Arnor as a faction? They are my personal favorites from a lore perspective, and I was wondering if they could be considered for an update down the line! A personal idealistic list of factions would probably look like this from my POV. They are listed in personal importance to create within each faction.

  • Arnor
  • Dale
Elves
  • High Elves (Imladris/Mithlond)
  • Lothlorien + Mirkwood
Dwarves
  • Erebor
  • Khazad Dum

Evil Men

  • Rhun (Easterlings)

I have a decent understanding to how IMMENSE your workload is. And I am a huge fan of the project you guys have put yourselves up to. I am super hyped, even if you release only Isenguard, I would play the heck out of it. But I cant help but think more about the project, and start getting all Idealistic :D Best of luck!

Would there be any scenario and possibility for skirmish games to play with all good / all bad factions. I thought playing with both elves and dwarves or elves and men would be super fun :D

I doubt something like that is planned at the moment. But in a new game that might be possible as a special map (in the original game creating a map with something like that wasn't possible)
