Re: Heavy armour upgrade realism.

Not sure about it. I always like descisions with up and down sides, but it feels that this could have to have too many downsides, even if the slow is really small. Because if you buy heavy armor and that means you can never retreat your troops afterwards, because enemies are faster, that is really a...

Re: The hobbit hero's/champions

The one talking about the heroes being exclusive was me, because of it being weird if characters which weren't alife/active at the same times, are playable together. It's weird, but the most acceptable solution that includes Hobbit by far. Agree But I also didn't care for her in the films, so maybe ...

Re: The hobbit hero's/champions

It's quite a difficult question. Not having Gimli is pretty much a nogo because he is basically the "Tolkien-Dwarf". But not having Thorin who is a main character of the Hobbit movies isn't that great either. Probably a mix of characters would make the most sense in a way that as many characters as ...

Re: The hobbit hero's/champions

Dwarves being low on heroes is already pretty well balanced out by the dwarven heroes being really tanky. And there is the question wether it is weird to have Thorin and Gimli fighting side by side, even if Gimli was still a child, when Thorin was still alife. I'd really make Thorin and Company a co...

Re: NEW HUD?

The icon of the horde in the middle. On top of it the number of those hordes. Left to it the health bar of the lowest health horde of that type (the healthes of the units in it are aggregated together). Right to it the health bar of the highest health horde of that type (health aggregation again). ...

Re: Weather Settings

I think weather in games is always a double edged sword. On one hand it can look really cool, but on the other hand it can impede the visibility of whats happening. To evoid this the weather effects would have to be more settle. And that begs the question if it's still worth the effort then. :?: I ...

Re: Marketplaces,Inns,Beacons

I think maybe a good solution for point one, that also makes sense considering they are called marketplaces, is to have them boost resource gathering buildings in the vicinity? So farms, mines, whatever it is your faction uses that are near the market will produce significantly more resources. It e...

Re: NEW HUD?

I agree on more information being visible, but dislike the particular idea. It might work with just so few hordes, but with Mordor which can have tons of hordes and each with 20 units per hordes you will just get far too many information. Instead when you selected multiple units, you should only get...

Re: Wall concept

Walls have never really played a part in competitive multiplayer and aren't really something that should be expanded on.
But I agree on more distinctive vision like you described.
In general there shouldn't be vision behind obstacles, and there should also be things like forests which reduce vision.
