Hello there, first of all it's been like 10 years ago (wow :D) that I played this game, so maybe this changed already. Back when I was playing the ressource buildings started to produce less the more you had - which probably is a good concept for balancing purposes, as it would probably snowball too...

I think you're right, but I also think it's not that bad, so I wouldn't invest too much time and energy into that.
I'd see it more as a possible quality of life change that could be implemented at some point.

The most important thing for me is a good multiplayer platform. Easy ways to find games, good ranked mode etc. Making it less complicated to get the game is a big plus as well, but not as important. The game itself being and looking good is of course nice too, but I think I'd even go back to playing...

For me when it's about such a topic, player convenience comes first, realism second (that doesn't mean those two can't co-exist). I like the idea of making it look more realistic. On the other hand especially for competitive play it is important to be easily able to tell if a unit is upgraded or not - so I think it's very important to somehow implement a clear distinction for every faction. I also feel like the glowing swords ...
