I personally had the concept of trying to combine the two since I like both approaches quite a bit. You can only have one main fortress from where you start out but you can capture limited amount of outposts on the map that function almost similar if a little weaker where you can build "mini-fortres...

Those are some nice thought out and well presented ideas! I especially like your inclusion of the trolls from The Hobbit.. Some of those designs were pretty dang cool. I like this idea. But I do think you perhaps need to hold an Inn for a certain amount of time before you can recruit them.. Otherwise its too easy to pop in and out of an Inn since they used to be less important late game.

I can see having a lot of fun with this power. Sure you can post it in the middle of an approaching army. But I would actually place it a bit closer to their rear. Making it imposible to retreat while my main forces push them in!

Assuming I didnt suck and actually have units, hah.

Probably just all of the above.

While the reworked visuals had my interest at first on further investigation and seeing the work you are intending to put into this project well.. needless to say I became hyped for it all!

I suppose I'm going to be the odd one out and actually prefer the fiery version, haha.

Seems more fitting with the whole reforged concept.
